Ant nests can be a real problem to control in border soils and lawns causing raised areas of soil and disruption to plant roots. Ants also protect aphids against ladybirds and other predators.

Control with parasitic nematodes Steinernema feltiae

Microscopic, transparent worms that control both black and red ants. Apply to a well-watered ant nest.

Soil temperature must be at least 12°C. Treatment can be repeated after 4-6 weeks with severe infestations.

Apply using a watering can or nematode applicator  (Aquanemix)

Use treatments between April and September for effective control.

 One pack treats up to 6 nests - 10m2
